Folding garden bistro chair in painted steel, the round back and round seat both worked in a swirling nautilus shell pattern of curved bars radiating from a cast rosette at the center. The frame folds flat on an X base with rolled feet and a scalloped cast apron along the front edge of the seat. It stands about 38 inches tall at the back with a seat about 16 1/2 inches across. The paint is a pale sage green that has weathered toward cream, and rust is breaking through along the top of the back ring, around the seat rim and at the joints, with flaking and paint loss throughout from outdoor use. The folding action works. Condition is fair, and the chair reads best as a decorative or patio piece rather than a restored one; a wire brush and a coat of enamel would bring it back, or it can be left with the aged surface that garden decorators look for. Sold as a single chair, not a pair. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
