Philco 6 Transistor Radio and Hurst Keychain

Philco 6 Transistor pocket radio in a dark navy plastic case with a chrome front panel, a round tuning dial window and two thumbwheel controls set into the top corners; the front is printed PHILCO 6 TRANSISTOR below a perforated speaker grille. The back carries an EAR PHONE jack, louvered vents and JAPAN molded into the lower edge, placing it in the early 1960s, when American brands sourced pocket transistor sets from Japanese factories. The chrome panel shows brown and yellow staining and corrosion around both thumbwheels. Not tested for function. It comes with its black leather carrying case, with snap flap, wrist strap, punched speaker holes and a cutout for the dial, scuffed with edge wear. Also included is a Hurst Shifters promotional keychain molded as a red-orange automatic transmission with a chrome shift lever and black rubber boot, the HURST SHIFTERS logo on the side; its small black clip and red hook have come loose and are shown separately. The original consignor listing described this piece as a gas pump, which the photos do not support. Overall good condition. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
