Pair of Hull Pottery salt and pepper shakers in the brown drip glaze, the Ohio-made kitchen line sold from the 1960s into the 1980s. Both are modeled as small jugs with a molded cork-style stopper cast into the shoulder and the words Salt and Pepper raised in script on the fronts. Both bottoms are impressed hull Oven Proof USA, the mark Hull used on its ovenproof ware, which collectors know as Brown Drip or Mirror Brown. Each stands about 3-1/2 inches tall against the ruler shown. The plugs that close the fill holes in the tops are missing, common on surviving pairs and easy to replace with standard rubber stoppers. Condition is good - the glaze is glossy and even with the darker drip running from the rims, and no chips or cracks are visible. Hull brown drip is still collected piece by piece, so a marked pair fills a real gap for someone building a set. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
