Gold-Relief Bracelet by Fuset y Grau. Bracelet inner diameter 52?61?mm, suitable for wrist circumference within 17?cm Wt:44.2g This bangle is entirely hand?crafted in 18K gold. The centre features a high?relief Neoclassical cameo depicting a Spanish aristocratic maiden, encircled by three?dimensional chased?gold roses and ribbon?bow motifs. Platinum overlay is applied, accented with ruby settings. The bangle wall is fully decorated with relief?carved roses and pomegranate patterns, symbolising love bearing abundant fruit. Elegant and romantic with noble bearing, it exhibits superb craftsmanship. Complete set of antique hallmarks. Fuset y Grau was a master jeweller of the Spanish Art Nouveau period, celebrated for his distinctive design language. Breaking conventional boundaries in the use of precious metals and gemstones, he incorporated organic materials such as ivory, tortoiseshell and horn, combined with vivid precious stones, semi?precious stones, pearls and polychrome enamel. Works by Fuset y Grau garnered great acclaim at the French World's Fair at the end of the 19th century. During his creative peak in the following decade, his pieces became highly sought?after treasures cherished by noble ladies across France and wider Europe.
