Shade: This is the classic Rose color for Scott #65. The front shows the characteristic rose/pink-rose hue with the typical engraving. Some fading and toning (common on used 1860s stamps) is present, especially around the cancel area, but it remains within the accepted range for #65 (not the deeper rose of #66 or other varieties).Design: Washington profile, ornate lattice frame, “U.S. POSTAGE” top, “THREE CENTS” bottom.
