A vintage home draft beer kit consisting of an insulated barrel sleeve, a tapping mechanism, a securing strap, and the original retail box. The barrel sleeve is constructed of molded brown plastic with a wood-grain texture and black faux hoops. A gold foil label on the front is marked for Oktoberfest Real Draft Beer and includes an illustration of a traditional beer stein. The label also carries the text Made in U.S.A. and P.R. APP'D. NO. 339 T.C. The tapping mechanism is a polished metal assembly designed to hold a CO2 cartridge and includes a clear vinyl tube. The metal body is stamped with MFG. BY LUBACON-BRUSSELS BELGIUM and PAT-PEND. A brown leather strap with metal buckles is provided for securing the tap to the keg. The original cardboard box is printed with yellow, blue, and brown graphics and includes instructions on the top flap. Barrel height: approx. 11 1/2 inches (measured against a ruler). Condition: The kit shows significant signs of age and long-term storage. The cardboard box is heavily foxed and stained with torn corners. The metal tapping mechanism exhibits surface oxidation and grime. The leather strap is brittle with visible cracking and loose stitching. Most notably, the internal rubber or plastic components have completely perished and are present only as brittle, fused remnants. This item is offered as a collectible piece of breweriana and is not in functional condition.
