This lot consists of two vintage silver-plated vessels. The first is a W.M. Rogers pedestal compote featuring a fluted bowl and a scalloped rim. The rim and footed base are decorated with embossed floral and scroll motifs. The underside of the base contains a circular stamp reading W.M. ROGERS MADE IN CANADA S. P. BRASS LEAD MTS. with the pattern number 732 incised below. The second item is a fluted bowl with a ruffled, scalloped rim, silver-plated over a copper-toned base metal. No maker's marks are present on this smaller bowl. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): Compote: H 4 inches x Diameter 6.5 inches Small Bowl: H 3.5 inches x Diameter 5 inches. Condition: Both items exhibit heavy iridescent tarnish in shades of blue, purple, and gold. The small bowl shows extensive plating loss on the underside, revealing the copper-toned base metal. General surface wear and fingerprints are visible in the tarnished finish.
