A twenty-three piece set of silver plated flatware featuring an ornate Rococo Revival pattern. The handles are decorated with deep-relief casting of acanthus leaves, C-scrolls, and floral blossoms, terminating in flared, scrolled butts. The set includes six dinner knives with stainless steel blades, six dinner forks, six small spoons, four large oval spoons, and one pair of sugar tongs. Two of the smaller spoons feature decorative shell-shaped bowls. The underside of the handles is stamped with a small shield-shaped symbol followed by the text BARDON PLATE. The knife blades are stamped STAINLESS. Dimensions measured against a ruler (inches only shown): Knives: length approx. 9.5 in Forks: length approx. 7.5 in Spoons: length approx. 6 in to 7 in Tongs: length approx. 4.5 in. Condition: The set shows light tarnishing and typical surface wear consistent with age and use. There are minor scratches to the polished surfaces. Two spoons are contained within their original plastic sleeves.
