Browning Auto-5 "Magnum" Semi-Automatic Shotgun, 12 Gauge — Belgian Made Item: Browning Auto-5 "Magnum" Semi-Automatic Shotgun Gauge: 12 Gauge, 3" Magnum Shells, 30" Barrel Manufacturer: Browning Arms Company, Morgan, Utah & Montreal, P.Q. / Made in Belgium Finish: Engraved blued receiver and barrel; checkered walnut stock and schnabel-tip forearm Condition: Excellent, minimal handling wear Classic Browning Auto-5 "Magnum" semi-automatic shotgun in 12 gauge, built on John Browning's legendary long-recoil action and produced at Fabrique Nationale in Belgium for Browning Arms Company. The barrel is stamped "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY, MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL, P.Q." and "MADE IN BELGIUM," with "BROWNING AUTO-5" and "SPECIAL STEEL 12 GA. SHELLS — 3" — 30"" marking the Magnum-length chamber and barrel. The receiver carries "Magnum" in period script along with fine scroll engraving and the Browning roundel medallion bearing John M. Browning's bust portrait, and the frame bears Belgian proof house markings, including crown/oval proof stamps and bore/gauge codes, along with an individual serial number. The shotgun wears a checkered walnut stock in a fine diamond-point pattern, paired with a graceful schnabel-tip forearm, and finishes out with a black recoil pad set off by a white spacer line and matching diamond checkering. Metal surfaces retain a deep, glossy blue with crisp scroll engraving, and overall condition is excellent with only minimal handling wear throughout. A superb example of Browning's iconic Auto-5 in the desirable Magnum configuration — Belgian craftsmanship and the world's first successful autoloading shotgun design, always in demand with Browning collectors and waterfowl hunters alike.
