The barrel is stamped "Savage Arms Corporation — Chicopee Falls, Mass. — U.S.A." and ".300 Savage" with an "Hi-Pressure Steel — Proof Tested" marking and an individual serial number, and the receiver retains the Model 99's signature hammerless, top-ejecting design with its rotary spool magazine and brass cartridge-count window. The rifle wears a nicely figured walnut pistol-grip stock and forearm with diamond-point checkering, a black forend tip, and sling swivel studs front and rear, all set against a smooth, even blued finish. The action is drilled and tapped for scope mounts and cycles crisply, with overall condition presenting as excellent and only minor handling wear throughout.
