The surface presents vivid coloration with energetic, visible brushwork throughout the foliage, flowers, pathway, and architectural elements. Minor surface wear and handling marks consistent with age and display may be present. The canvas appears stable and display-ready. Presented in an ornate gold-tone frame showing light age-related wear. Provenance: From a longtime private collection in Georgia. According to family history, the work was discovered among paintings and decorative objects during the clearance of an older Savannah residence in 1994. Records predating the discovery were unavailable. This provenance reflects the ownership history supplied when the artwork was received for cataloging. Visual Description: A luminous garden scene featuring an empty bench beside a winding yellow pathway leading toward a small circular fountain. Flowering plants, dense shrubbery, and tall trees surround the composition, while a dark iron trellis introduces a structured geometric element across the background.
