This armchair features a substantial carved wood frame with a tall, sculpted back highlighted by deep button tufting and padded side panels. The crest displays a stringed musical instrument motif surrounded by scrolling foliate and pierced ornament. Carved details extend across the shoulders, arms, serpentine front rail, and cabriole-style legs with scrolled feet. Upholstered in greenish-gold floral brocade with pink and sage accents, the pattern covers all visible surfaces, including the removable seat cushion and outer back. The chair bears an original Gornick Furniture label, relating its production to Pueblo's Gornick Furniture, a notable mid-20th-century retailer operating since 1946. Measuring approximately 45 inches high and30 inches wide, it is in very good vintage condition with minor wear and a small spot on the seat noted. The chair was most likely made in the 1950's - 60's and overall a good piece of vintage furniture.
