Artist Biography: Anton Cetin (born 1936) is an internationally recognized Croatian-Canadian painter, printmaker, muralist, and designer. Born in Bošnjaci, Croatia, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where he established himself as an accomplished painter and graphic artist before immigrating to Canada.Cetin has enjoyed an extensive international exhibition career spanning Europe and North America. His work is celebrated for its expressive colour, symbolic imagery, and synthesis of figurative and abstract forms. Throughout his career he has produced paintings, prints, stained glass, mosaics, murals, and major public commissions.His artwork is represented in numerous museum, corporate, and private collections throughout Canada, Croatia, Europe, and the United States. He has received multiple awards recognizing his contributions to contemporary art and cultural heritage.
