Extensive Korean War veteran memorabilia and military history collection featuring medals, insignia, publications, personal ephemera, commemorative pieces, and later veteran items. An especially interesting lot combining period-related material with Korean War anniversary and remembrance collectibles. The collection includes a Korean War Service Medal awarded on the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War in its presentation case, additional military medals and ribbon bars, patches and insignia, a Korea Veteran cap decorated with ribbons and pins, a Korean Conflict Veteran license plate, commemorative wristwatch dated July 27, 1995, and a red and yellow military-style neckerchief/scarf. Also included is an aged Certificate of Membership, Domain of the Golden Dragon, with handwritten information and signatures. Paper and media pieces include the boxed Korea: Remembering a Forgotten War 1950–1953 multi-volume VHS collection, Korea: The Forgotten War VHS, Out of Line: A Collection of Cartoons from the Pacific Stars and Stripes, a National Infantry Museum Collector’s Edition Map of the Korean War, a large Korean War photographic/history book, and additional papers and documents. Of particular interest is an aged typewritten sheet titled “Korean Commandments,” dated within the text to 1952 and containing humorous GI-style commentary about military life in Korea. Items show varying degrees of age and use. The older paper pieces have considerable toning, staining, creasing, edge wear, handwriting and other deterioration consistent with age and storage. Out of Line has particularly heavy cover and spine wear. Medals, insignia, hat, textiles, VHS sets and other pieces may have surface wear, dust, tarnish, fading or storage wear. The wristwatch has not been tested for operation. A substantial collection for a Korean War, U.S. military history, veteran memorabilia, militaria, ephemera, medal, insignia, or 1950s history collector. Contents are being sold together as shown, and individual pieces have not been independently authenticated or researched for service attribution. See photos for details and condition.
