Two signed Mata Ortiz polychrome pottery ollas from Chihuahua, Mexico, featuring hand-painted geometric designs in traditional earth-tone palettes of black, reddish brown, and natural clay. The pieces are signed “Chea Olivias” and “Chela Olivias.” One olla features a long feather/petal-style design extending around the body and measures approximately 4" wide x 3.5" tall with a 1.5" opening. The second features a more elaborate geometric feather-inspired design with triangular and curving motifs and measures approximately 4" wide x 4" tall with a 1.5" opening. Both have rounded forms with short flared necks and make an attractive pair for a collection of Mata Ortiz pottery, Mexican folk art, Southwestern pottery, or signed studio ceramics. Preowned condition with possible minor surface wear and natural variations associated with handmade pottery. See photos for details and condition.
