Metlox Potteries, Homestead Provincial pattern. Features hand-painted folk-art motifs of rural life including a woman with buckets and a farmer plowing, circa 1950. This set includes a bread trough, large platter, and tea service pieces. The underside of the platter features a black printed mark in the shape of a California map reading HOMESTEAD PROVINCIAL Poppytrail by METLOX. Dinner plates: 10 inches across. Collection maintains bold colors and crisp edges appropriate for its mid-century age. Minor expected wear includes a small rim chip (photo 6) and a missing sugar bowl lid. A lovely vintage set.
