Clarice Cliff designed this Royal Staffordshire Tonquin ceramics group, mid-20th century. The collection features red and brown colorways, including eight red and five brown 10-inch dinner plates. This scenic English transferware displays manor house vignettes with floral borders across pitchers, creamers, and bowls. Printed backstamps read TONQUIN by Clarice Cliff, Made in England. These vintage pieces display bold transfer colors and crisp scenic details. Glaze crazing and minor staining on bases are consistent with age and reflect the authentic history of the set.
