This is an authentic vintage primitive handmade wooden small animal transport box or critter cage. The structural framing is built from durable thick wood planks featuring long vertical cutout ventilation windows on both sides lined with fine galvanized metal wire mesh hardware cloth. The front section utilizes an integrated sliding wooden access gate door panels that slide up and down within built-in track grooves to keep your animals secure. The top of the cage box also incorporates an inset rectangular viewport window covered in matching wire mesh grid screen for optimal interior visibility and maximum airflow. The entire primitive piece showcases a lovely field-aged character with natural wood grain weathering, slight storage staining, and minor scuffs from decades of barn usage. This unique primitive makes an exceptional accent piece for rustic cabin displays, farmhouse porch decor, or early country life collections.
