Turkish Model M1938 Mauser

R Serial # 140432. 8mm Mauser caliber bolt action rifle with a 29-1/2” barrel. The bore condition is poor, dark and rusty, it may clean a bit better. This rifle was made at the Ankara Arsenal in 1943. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in good condition showing edge wear and thinning with scattered spot sof light rust. The finish is taking on a slight brown patina. The floor plate and trigger guard show wear and thinning with scratches, they are also turning slightly brown. The barrel bands show moderate to heavy wear with a slight brown patina. The plain walnut stock and hand guard are in very good military condition showing scattered light marks; no cracks or repairs. The rifle is completely mis-matched. The cleaning rod is missing. The action works fine. Includes a leather sling. C&R.
