R Serial # NSN. .22 Sh-L-LR caliber bolt action rifle with a 25” barrel. The bore is very good to excellent, mostly clean with strong rifling with light fouling. Detachable magazine. Made in 1948. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in fair to good condition showing thinning with a covering of light rust. The receiver is in fair condition, it is mostly a brown patina with light rust. The bolt body shows good, slightly faded case color. The plain walnut stock is in good to very good condition showing scattered light marks with finish wear. The floor plate and trigger guard have a covering of moderate surface rust. Plastic butt plate. The action works OK, but the bolt withdraws from the receiver on opening. Includes a vintage soft case. Made from 1939 to 1962. C&R.
