R Serial # B119995. .22 LR caliber semi auto rifle with a 20” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Full length magazine tube. Made for Cotter & Co. Hardware by Savage, it is similar to the Savage/Stevens Model 187. Unique semi-auto action where the bolt locks to the rear after firing until the trigger is released allowing the bolt to move forward. Made c. 1972. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in very good to excellent condition showing little wear with some scattered light freckling. The blued finish on the grooved receiver is in excellent condition showing little wear with some light marks. The checkered hardwood stock is in very good condition showing scattered light dings and scratches. Plastic butt plate. Original front and rear sights. The action works fine. Includes an OD green canvas web sling. C&R.
