R. 21a. First of a lot of 2: J. C. Higgins Model 583.20. Serial # NSN. 12 Ga. bolt action shotgun with a 28” barrel. The bore is good, dirty with moderate fouling, it should clean better. Made for Sears, Roebuck and Co. by High Standard. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in fair condition showing light muzzle wear with edge wear, scratches and a covering of light rust. The trigger guard shows edge wear and moderate rust. The plain walnut stock is in good to very good condition showing scattered light dings and scratches with light finish wear. The action works fine, the bolt stop screw has been replaced with a cap screw. The butt is fitted with a J.C. Higgins marked red rubber recoil pad. C&R. R. 21b. Second of a lot of 2: Folsom Arms Co. Model Hammer Double. Serial # 183311. 12 Ga. double barrel hammer fired shotgun with 30” barrels. The bores are fair, dirty with slight roughness. The barrels are both choked Full. Made by Crescent Firearms in the early 1900’s. The blued metal finish on the barrels and receiver is a rusty brown patina. The checkered walnut forearm and butt stock are in fair condition showing dings, scratches and heavy wear. Plastic butt plate. The action works OK. The butt is fitted with a brown rubber slip-on recoil pad that is torn. C&R.
