R Serial # NSN. 12 Ga. semi auto shotgun with a 28” plain barrel. The bore is very good, mostly clean with light fouling. The barrel is choked Imp. Modified. The chamber is 2-3/4”. Made by Savage Arms for Cotter & Co. Hardware, the forerunner of Tru-Value Hardware. It is similar to the Savage Model 745. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in good condition showing little wear with thinning and scattered light freckling. The black enamel finish on the engraved alloy receiver is in good condition showing edge wear and scratches. The trigger guard shows edge wear and scratches. The checkered walnut stock and the plain forearm are in good to very good condition showing some light marks and scratches with light finish wear. Red rubber recoil pad with an LOP of 14-1/4”. The action works fine. Made from 1940-1949. C&R.
