Italian Brass-Plated Ornate Vases & Candlesticks

A set of four miniature Italian decorative cast metal objects, comprising two double-handled bud vases and two single-light candlesticks. The pieces are executed in a Rococo Revival style with elaborate relief decoration throughout. The vases feature scrolling foliate handles and raised floral sprays on the body, resting on four-footed bases. Each vase base retains a small white paper label with printed text reading MADE IN ITALY. The candlesticks are designed with a tripod-style base decorated with foliate and scroll motifs, rising to a fluted candle cup. The underside of each candlestick base is incised with the word ITALY. The metal is a cast base metal with a gold-toned brass plating.Height: 4.5 inchesHeight: 4.75 inchesThe set is in fair vintage condition, with significant surface wear and oxidation visible across all pieces. The vases show dark patina and accumulated residue in the recessed areas of the casting. The candlesticks exhibit substantial loss of the gold-toned plating on the bases, revealing a grayish base metal and white powdery oxidation.
