Vintage Wicker Basket & Embroidered Linens

This rectangular woven wicker and bamboo storage basket features a hinged lid and double swing handles. The lid is attached using metal coil hinges. The basket contains an assortment of vintage household linens in white and pale yellow cotton or linen blends. The textiles are decorated with a variety of hand-embroidered motifs, including a pair of pillowcases with swans and purple flowers, a dresser scarf depicting a watering can and tulips with a crocheted lace border, and a pale yellow table scarf with white daisies and scalloped edges. Additional pieces display motifs of roses, grapes, and floral baskets. Many of the linens are finished with hand-crocheted or scalloped trims.
