A pair of matching short weighted candlesticks manufactured by Duchin Creation. Each piece features a flared rim above a tapering bell-shaped stem, resting on a wide, stepped circular base in a traditional low-boy style. The underside of each base is stamped with a diamond cartouche containing a stylized letter S, above the literal transcription STERLING, CEMENT FILLED, and REINFORCED. One base also bears the hand-etched characters 54 B. These pieces are constructed with a sterling silver exterior foil over a reinforced cement-filled core to provide stability and weight.Total Weight: 600gHeight: 2.5 inchesThe candlesticks are in fair overall vintage condition, exhibiting heavy surface tarnish and oxidation throughout both pieces. Visible pitting and small dark spots of corrosion are present on the silver surface. One base shows a small dent along the bottom rim, and general surface scratches and scuffs are present consistent with age and use.
