Sportcraft Horseshoe Set in Wood Case

Updated August 27, 2026

Sportcraft horseshoe set in its original wooden slat carrying case. The case is thin pine slats with a hinged lid, brass colored hinges at the back, and a brass colored draw latch at the front. SPORTCRAFT is branded into the wood on the front rail with the registered mark beside it. Inside are four chrome plated horseshoes, two nested to each side, each cast with a raised oval panel reading CHINA on one side and FORGED STEEL on the other, packed with styrofoam blocks. Steel stakes lie in the bottom of the case. The original folded instruction sheet is present and reads HORSESHOES OFFICIAL GAME RULES AND INSTRUCTIONS with the Sportcraft logo. Condition is good with honest use. The rule sheet is creased, stained, and torn along the edges. The case shows scuffing, splitting along one edge, and a chunk of wood broken away from the top rail near the latch. The cardboard liner inside is torn in places. Authenticity has not been verified by Crawford Auction Service. Estimated Value: $25 to $45 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
