Vaughan Groundbreakers cutter mattock, the digging tool with a flat cutting blade on one side of the head and a curved pick point on the other. Forged steel head in gloss black paint with the ground bevel bright on the cutting edge and pick tip. Hung on a long straight hardwood handle with a natural finish. The Groundbreakers label is printed on the handle. A paper warning label further down reads in part WARNING, USER AND BYSTANDER ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GOGGLES, use this tool only for its intended purpose, do not strike against any other tool or metal object, striking any hard object or surface can cause the tool face to chip, and Head made in Taiwan. Condition is very good and the tool looks barely used. Paint on the head is nearly complete with only small scuffs, the cutting edge and pick point are clean, the wedge is tight in the eye, and the handle is straight and solid with light dirt and a few surface marks. This is a full size long handle model, not the short handled camp size. Estimated Value: $20 to $35 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
