Round decorative metal sign printed with the classic Chevrolet Impala SS emblem. The artwork shows the leaping Impala figure above the chrome SS letters inside a chrome ring on a bright red background, done as a photographic close-up rather than a flat drawing. The disc measures roughly 8 inches across, with a mounting hole at the top, one at the bottom and one in the center. Be clear on what this is: the back is bare brushed aluminum with no printing, no maker mark, no date and no General Motors licensing text visible in any photo. Nothing about this piece indicates it is an old dealership or garage sign. It is best described as modern automotive wall decor made in the style of a vintage emblem. Condition is very good with bright color, a clean printed surface and no dents, bends or rust. The Impala SS badge first appeared on the 1961 Impala Super Sport, which is why the design still sells with collectors, restorers and garage decorators. Estimated Value: $10 to $20 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
