925 Sterling Thailand Marcasite Ring and Chain

Two piece lot, a sterling ring and a silver colored chain necklace. (1) The ring has a long oval Art Deco face, top set with a smooth domed cabochon in warm orange brown with the look of carnelian, bottom set with a smooth white cabochon with the look of mother of pearl. A row of small triangular cut marcasite runs across the middle where the two cabochons meet, and each shoulder has a raised panel of round marcasite. The inside of the shank is stamped 925 A on one side and THAILAND on the other, both clearly readable in the close-up photos. The band is bright with dark oxidation left in the recesses to set off the marcasite. Condition is very good with all stones tight and present. (2) The necklace is a fine sparkle chain in white metal, surface cut so it flashes its whole length, roughly opera length, small lobster claw clasp. No metal stamp is visible on the chain in any photo, so only the ring is described as sterling. Stones are untested and described from visual observation only. Estimated Value: $30 to $60 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors.
