Leaping Animal Green Triangle Ashtry

Vintage-style ceramic ashtray featuring a sculptural running leaping deer or antelope motif rising from the back. The ashtray has a distinctive asymmetrical triangular leaf-shaped form with a deep recessed center and molded decorative edging. Finished in a rich dark emerald or forest green glaze with darker shading that emphasizes the raised details. Made of glazed ceramic or pottery with a high-gloss dark green glaze and molded three-dimensional animal and foliage details. The bottom has an applied felt fiber protective covering, with a large center opening exposing the unglazed ceramic interior. Good pre-owned condition with wear. The ceramic is structurally intact with no obvious major cracks or large breaks visible. There is considerable surface dust and residue, particularly inside the ashtray recesses and around the molded decoration. Several areas show small glaze chips and nicks, scratches, scuffs, and finish wear, including along the outer rim. The underside felt is heavily worn and partially missing from around the center opening. The piece would benefit from careful cleaning. Overall, a decorative vintage ashtray with attractive glossy glaze and expected age and use-related wear.
