Unique selection of a framed piece of artwork, perfect for any art enthusiast or collector. The selection is entitled “Wild Horse” and it was produced by artist John Nieto. The piece displays a Native American figure wearing a traditional headdress and ceremonial attire. This is done in a vibrant, non-traditional color palette to make the artwork stand out. John Nieto (1936 – 2018) was a highly influential contemporary American painter who was celebrated for his radically transformative visual style of Southwest and Indigenous art. He became globally renowned as a brilliant colorist who was the very first artist to successfully fuse European Fauvism with subjects native to North America. His unique, emotionally charged pieces depict solitary, proud figures including Native American Warriors and Chieftains as well as important regional landscapes. This print is a limited numbered Serigraph that is formally framed, matted and under glass. The overall painting measures 23” H x 21” W with the interior print measuring approx. 11.5” H x 9.5” W. Print, frame, and overall presentation are in great shape. The bottom left corner of the pic holds a handwritten pencil marking of “20/195”. The bottom right corner appears to hold the handwritten signature of “Nieto” also done in pencil. Due to the size and weight, we cannot ship this item.
