A trio of American sterling silver pierced serving spoons by R. Blackinton, Knowles, and Gorham. The group comprises a shell-shaped Gorham Strasbourg pattern bon-bon spoon, a scrolled bon-bon spoon, and a beaded R. Blackinton nut spoon with a floral terminal. One piece is monogrammed and engraved with the date 7.23.55 on the reverse. The reverse of one spoon is stamped with an eagle, an R in a shield, and a lion rampant hallmark while two spoons bear a lion passant, an anchor, and a Gothic G hallmark. All pieces are stamped STERLING. The spoons measure 4.4 inches, 4.5 inches, and 4.75 inches in length. The spoons show expected light surface wear and tarnish consistent with age and use. The intricate piercing remains intact with no visible breaks or repairs to the delicate bridges. Monogramming and engraving are crisp and legible.
