This is a bound volume of the "Olympia Zeitung," the official daily newspaper published during the 1936 Summer Olympic Games held in Berlin, Germany. The exterior features the Olympic rings and the Berlin Olympic bell emblem in gold on a dark cover that shows significant edge and spine wear, with visible repairs on the spine and corners. Inside are numerous original pages containing period photography, event coverage, diagrams, and advertising in German, documenting the athletic competitions as well as cultural and national context of the time. This volume provides extensive visual and textual reference to Olympic events, including track and field, gymnastics, water sports, and ceremonies, reflecting both sport and propaganda from the era. The overall condition of the internal pages appears intact with age-related toning and minor handling marks.
