German WWII & Post-War Aluminum Mess Kits (6)

Comprising six military field mess kits (Kochgeschirr), this grouping features a mix of WWII-era German and post-war West German production examples. Constructed of lightweight aluminum with painted finishes ranging from dark green and olive drab to field grey, each kit follows the classic European nested design, complete with a main pot body, wire bail handle, and a fitted lid/skillet with a folding handle bracket. Stamped manufacturer marks are visible on select handle brackets, including PSL and REF codes. This collection exhibits varied condition throughout, with several units showing light scuffs and minor paint loss, while one example displays heavy field wear, extensive exterior paint chipping, and surface oxidation on the handle. Small dents, scratches, and finish wear are present across the group as expected from military service. Each individual mess kit measures approximately 6.5" x 6.5" x 4". An outstanding instant collection or dealer lot, ideal for outfitting field gear mannequins, completing equipment displays, or re-enacting setups.
