A contemporary non-objective abstract expressionist painting executed in heavy impasto on canvas board. The composition features energetic palette knife strokes in a bold palette of crimson, ochre, purple, and black. A damaged adhesive paper label on the verso reads necessities™ | nécessit. The work comes housed in a square frame with a gray felt border and glass cover. Board: 11 x 14 inches Frame: 25 x 25 inches. The painting exhibits minor stray paint marks along the edges and reverse. The manufacturer label on the verso shows significant tearing and adhesive residue. The frame shows light surface wear consistent with age and handling.
