Yellow amber figural cannon shaped bitters bottle. Embossed on one side CASTILIAN BITTERS. Smooth base. Applied double collar lip. Circa 1860s. Possibly a product of J.B. Brown & Co 147 Duane St, New York as they heavily advertised Brown's Castilian Bitters during the mid 1860s. Condition is attic found; however, there is high point wear to the base edge and shoulder of the bottle. There is also light interior staining and a 1/8 inch flake to the top edge of the lip. Measures approximately 3 3/8 inches wide x 10 1/8 inches tall.
