This is an authentic vintage hand-quilted applique textile quilt showcasing a beautifully preserved traditional Dresden Plate pattern. The centerpiece design features twenty individual hand-pieced medallion wheels arranged in a clean grid layout across a natural off-white cream muslin base. Each plate is meticulously constructed from a vibrant variety of patterned calico print and gingham cotton petals surrounding a solid golden-yellow central cap, all firmly secured with detailed dark blanket stitching and framed by a pastel yellow lattice interior border. The textile displays tight hand-quilted relief work throughout the background fields, complete with a clean solid backing construction that nicely emphasizes the detailed needlework texture. This historic piece displays fine stitch consistency and a well-preserved character with only minor fabric creasing from long-term storage and zero structural fraying. It provides an excellent investment choice for textile collectors, vintage dealers, or rustic country home staging. Please review all the provided front, backing, and close-up detail photographs to carefully evaluate the individual patterns, borders, and exact cosmetic state of the quilt.
