Produced in the late 19th century, this Imperial Austro-Hungarian turquoise-blue pressed glass commemorative plate measures 5 inches in diameter. The central panel features a molded relief bust of Crown Prince Rudolf (1858–1889) in military dress uniform displaying the Order of the Golden Fleece at his collar. Encircling the portrait is a molded rosette band framed by an outer raised beaded rim. Crafted from heavy pressed glass, the piece displays inherent production characteristics such as internal air bubbles, mold seam lines, and shear marks along the top edge. The plate shows light surface scratching, base friction wear, and age-appropriate rim wear including fine flea bites and micro-chipping. PM/OT
