Dating to World War II, this pair of hand-painted, hollow-molded early-plastic pins depicts German mountain troop soldiers in field uniforms holding long wooden skis. Issued as Winterhilfswerk (WHW) donation tokens, these pieces belong to a street campaign series highlighting various military personnel and winter equipment. Each measures approximately 2 inches tall with no visible maker's marks. One pin retains its mounted metal assembly, while the other includes its detached hardware. Both figures exhibit paint loss, surface scratches, discoloration, and soiling. Structural wear includes a chipped upper tip on one ski, wear at one boot, circular mold openings, and adhesive residue on the reverses.
