ca. 1807-1831; Attributed to Karl Münch (1769-1833) (active 1799-1831) a noted French Huguenot immigrant that became a schoolmaster in 1804, at Hoffman Church School in Lykens Valley, Dauphin Co. PA. He was noted for his high quality of artistic skills. This framed watercolor is a fine bouquet of tulips, daffodils, and wildflowers in a small bookplate or favor size work, free-hand done on screen-laid paper. The watercolor is consistent with other works attributed to Munch (*Note - example - "Fraktur: Folk Art & Family" by Ernests, pg. 106). The watercolor is under matting in a modern era frame; frame 8 1/4" x 9 1/4"; Condition: *Note - not removed from frame during cataloging, unknown condition to edges, or if a possible fragment of a larger piece. The watercolor has minor soiling, no tears or repairs noticed.
