ca. early 19th century; Early center-seam constructed, two-color (Indigo-blue and dark red) dyed wool yarn woven coverlet. The field has repeated panels of checkerboard design within an octagon lover's knot variant outline. The border includes dash and dot design with 16-block squares and 4-block squares, bound head-end, fringed sides and foot-end; 94" x 82"; Condition: some fading of dyes from use(?) or possibly poor dying consistency.
