ca. 1830-1850; Attributed to Pennsylvania, three-color jacquard weave coverlet with double-row of "Courthouse and Schoolhouse" border. The lower two corners have a four-block birds on flower stems design, interior with a large size and small size four-tulip medallions design, head end in green-weave tape binding and sides and foot fringed in the weft-weave colors. The border repeats design of a large building with flag topped spires and cupola, off-set with large two-story building with chimney weathervanes; 100" x 90"; Condition: Center-seam construction, some dark soiling spots.
