Rare Patriotic coverlet for "Eunice Angell"

ca. Dated 1847; Patriotic themed jacquard wool blue and white coverlet, center-seam stitch bound construction with an eagle and stars design border. The four corners have matching "Washington, United we Stand Divided we Fall" with Washington on horseback with raised sword. The corner-blocks include a small picket soldier on watch behind a rampart defense. The head and foot has a reverse statement line of, "Under this We Prosper". The reversable coverlet has traditional floral medallion pattern throughout the central field with stitched bound head, stitch mounted fringe-runs to sides and foot end. Weaving attributed to James Cunningham, Oneida Co., NY.; 96" x 76"; Condition: Fair-good with minor moth holes and some dark soiling marks. Possibly an important connection to an early era Mormon Settler. Note on weaver's attribution check, (pg. 121), "A checklist of American Coverlet Weavers", use of same pattern. Attributed ownership to Eunice Clark (Young) Angell (1809-1879) born in Foster, Rhode Island, daughter of Nathan Young & Sarah (Whitman) Young. She married Solomon Angell in 1828, in Rhode Island. They however, were among a group of Mormon Pioneers to settle in the Utah territory. In 1847, They were living in region of Hanover, Licking Co., Ohio. They moved to Utah approximately 1850.
