ca. 19th century; Primitive large size melon-shaped field harvest basket with side-slot handles, rounded shape with 5/8" wide thick stock bentwood rim, uniform split and shave staves with graduated weaving splints. The center beam and rim union has tight overlapped binding, standard tight lashing and four exposed slider-rails on bottom; 19 1/4"-20 1/2" dia. X 9 1/2" H; Condition: Dry condition, some damage to weaving splints
