ca. 1830's-1870; 1. Attrubuted to Southeastern PA romantic traditionalist carver in an uncommon fish and star flower design with gouge chisel chip-carved border. The softwood blank was treadle-lathe turned two-tier step-gouge turned back, designed to have a friction set handle. The print face has an artistic flair with variegated and sawtooth accents to fish with flowing star flowers with leaves, 3 3/4" dia. X 1 3/4", Condition: missing friction handle, print face is possibly cleaned. 2. Ball handled left-faced federal eagle with triple fluted border, fined shielded breast and talons grasping arrows, 3 7/8" dia. X 2 1/2", Condition: Single piece lathe turned maple/birch hardwood, minor dry-in cracks
