ca. late 19th-early 20th century; Continental paint decorated lift lid trinket box in pin-peg construction with hinged lid on small brass hinges, hand painted wild flowers design on a light green milk painted ground and flat trim banded lid; 8 1/4" x 5" x 3 3/4"H; Condition: The box is believed to be Swiss Alps region by decoration. "As found"; hinges were originally wire and clip, but replaced with a repair noted to damaged lid. Simple, but good primitive form.
