ca. early - mid 20th century; Attributed Lancaster-Berks County area, whimsical polychrome painted turtle footstool, softwood nail constructed with polychrome decoration. The stool has an oval shaped top, mounted scroll-cut legs, tail & head, body and legs sponge print painted black on dark green painted ground and head and tail are painted red with black "spot" painted design; 14 3/4" x 8 1/2" x 4 7/8"; Condition: Good, no noted damage
