Late 19th-early 20th century; Hinged lidded bulldog motif inkwells: Fine Scottish attributed carved sycamore wood bulldog with comical raised nose, exposed bone-ivory lower teeth and hinged head with glass eyes. The expressive figural carving with raised ears, extensive wrinkles to brows and smooth surface with burn-art decoration, 3 1/2" H. Clear swirl-glass square inkwell with gold leaf painted cast white-metal bulldog lid with large brown glass eyes, 3" x 3" x 3 3/4" H; Condition: Both "as found" good condition with no noted damage or repairs.
