ca. 1900-1930; Rosewood and mahogany veneered traditional style knife box with slanted lid and swelled front. The tall box has fine ornate recreated brass hardware that includes "batwing" handles, floral plate and ring lift, elongated and embellished latch plate and surface mounted hinges. The chest has satin and rosewood rope twist band around all corners. Lid interior has a five-pointed star inlay and ropetwist band inlay; 8" x 6" x 11 1/2" H; Condition: Fine revival type piece that is unsigned, but very well done. Noted chip to left front corner of quarter-round bottom.
